    Default best brand cabin filter?

I just replaced my cabin filter with a Bosch P3682. It looked cheaper/lighter weight than the Febi/Bilstein I took out. Made me think what is the best brand of cabin filter? Or does it make any difference? I try to replace it every 20,000 miles.

FYI, This time I went 30,000 and had the usual leaves/junk and black appearance. I was also starting to get a whistle through the vents when the fan volume was on high.

    Any thoughts?
    Thanks,

Don't worry... just change them every year. No need to wear out our fan motors by going 30,000 miles.

best approach even though it is such a pain to change. What brand filter do you you recommend?
    Thanks,

    BECK/ARNLEY Part # 0422007
    {Cabin Air Filter} $16.16

    FEBI Part # 64311390836
    Cabin Air Filter
    $16.45 $0.00 $16.45

    FOUR SEASONS Part # 27628
    $20.79 $0.00 $20.79

    BOSCH Part # P3682
    Particulate Filter ;1 filter in box.; Standard equipment.; Located in glove box. {Particulate Filter}
    $13.50

    MEYLE Fresh Air Filter
    MICROFILTER,A/C $18.68

I bought the Beck/Arnley one just because it cost more at the time. Four Seasons filters do look heavier and seem to focus on anti-alergy filter construction. The Beck looked heavier than the bosch. And I haven't seen the Febi one, so I can't say.

All in all- I don't think you can go wrong. rockauto.com has a nice selection if you are looking. You can get 5% off with code 402749374898, if you want. bmaparts.com has a few filters and they give a bmwcca discount. Not that it matters at this price, but it's something.

    Bavarian Auto (
http://www.bavauto.com/shop.asp) advertises the only activated charcoal AC filter I've seen for the E34, though I have not used it. Has anyone else??
