I had the axxis ultimate, its not ceramic and does need the bedding/degassing step for them to work. Mine all got heat cracks, now running the raybestos QS that dont need the bedding degassing cause they come pre de-gassed.
I exchanged a few emails with Patrick from BMA regarding the PBR/Axxis pads. According to him they are made at the same manufacturing facility but sold under a different label in the states. However, Axxis states that their pads are made of Kevlar. So guys with Axxis Ultimate pads, does it say "ceramic" anywhere on the box?

Jeff, where did you get the Axxis pads?
Also, did you do anything to get heat cracks?

Why would you make brake pads out of kevlar? Kevlar melts doesn't it? Didn't know kevlars high tensil strength worked when it's glowing red hot.
the only thing would have been the bed in treatment. I swear I followed it to a "T" but guess i didnt...who knows, im done with that noise.
Think I got em at braketech, want mine? Lots of pad left.
