What's the best thermostat for the M60?? For every other engine in the e34 I was able to find a 75 degree thermostat, but all of thermostats for the M60 engine are 95 degrees. Does anyone know where I can find a 75 degree thermostat?? Also, is Wahler a good brand, or should I just go OEM?? I found a Wahler thermostat on Pelican parts for $13.50 and an aluminum housing (brand is called MTC for $17.50) http://www.pelicanparts.com/bmw/cata..._pg3.htm#item8 (Scroll down to the 530i section to see the prices/product.) I tried searching, but came up with nothing too specific on thermostat brands. Thanks guys, Andrew

I went to the mission trading company and they have the same wahler for more money. Should I go with the 85 or 95 degree one??
mission trading company/mtc the people with the aluminum housing. it probably had a 95 in it before, id go with the 85 but it's hotter then hell here in south louisiana during summer and that gives you a little more safety margin

Thanks winfred. I think I'll go with the 85 degree one and the mtc housing. It gets pretty hot in NJ in the summers, but the winters are pretty cold. Thanks for your help!!Originally Posted by winfred
