Default There’s a certain decorum to be followed at a BMW dealership.

No greasy or dirty mechanics coming to the parts counter. Filth and body order are frowned upon, thus you should be freshly showered, clean shaven and well dressed when coming to buy parts.

No lewd or off color humor when conversing with the staff. Unlike Pep Boys, NAPA, and their ilk. BMW staff do not engage in behavior on the premises with the clientele.

Exhibition of speed is not tolerated when arriving and departing a BMW dealership. Although we consider ourselves “The Ultimate Driving Machine” we expect a more gentlemanly approach to the competitive spirit stirred in the hearts of drivers.

I understand, but it's not like I went to the dealership with a flannel shirt on, ripped jeans, a Budweiser in one hand and burnt out in front of the building. My friend was going out a one way exit because he's dumb, is that a reason to beep, I would say so.

I try to time my visits to the dealership to coincide with just after my monthly bath, whether I need it or not, and endeavour to get most of my usual belching and farting done and over with in the parking lot.

Truth. My local dealership has installed mountain-sized speedbumps, which threaten to rip the mudguards off my E28 unless I crawl over them at 0.0000000001 mph. I complained to the counter jockeys, so they tried to sell me new mudguards and a new car to bolt them to.

Default I've Always considered a trip to the dealer as a

    Sureal experiance.

Someone greets you and open the door for you.

    Over attentive salespeople.

Cute logo shop filled with polo shirts and toys.

Parts nicely bagged for you by an under dressed female cashier.

Anyway, 2 months later I go to the dealer to pick some parts up and this guy comes out of the building and tells me to never come back again because I was giving the finger to salesmen and I was beeping for no reason. He then proceeded to tell me I burnt out. This is where I lost it. I told him there's no way an e34 530 automatic can burn out just from hitting the gas from a stop. I then proceeded to tell him what had happened last time and why I was beeping. He said he didn't care and that I wasn't allowed to do business there anymore. I got right in his face and proceeded to tell him he didn't know **** about these cars other than he gets commision for selling a 325i to a family who can't spell BMW. I found out that there's an ever closer BMW dealer to me, so I will be going there instead. You think I should back with my pickup truck and smoke the tires in front of the sales department?? It really sucks because the parts guy was really cool and we started to become friends, but oh well. I can't believe they would lose a customer over such a dumb situation, but then again, I guess it doesn't matter because they charge someone 125 dollars to change a blinker bulb.
I would still go there... Who the hell is he to tell others what to do? There is not even a reason to call police on you unless you go and start vandalizing, threatening, or whatever else thing one could do...
