    Default Are my EGTs too high

    I pulled over and this fell out from under the car... EGT was reading 3200C

    EGT = exhaust gas temperature.

    It got even hotter once it hit the ground...

    Oh man, i hope my turbo is ok...

    what's with the sinature in the corner of the pic?
    I touched a turbo on 84 daytona once... after it was off for about 10 or so minutes, and I burnt my finger pretty bad! POS daytona, rusted turbo wastegate shaft broke (forgive my terminology!) and there was NO floor left in it, rotted away (this was 91)
    never bought an American car again, no explanation needed there!

    Hahaha........you'd have at least thought things through there, I mean come on, everyone knows fuel waste goes through the turbine ,not the compressor housing !
    But cool images just the same.
    Hows the MegaSquirt swap going Jon ? Any news ? Ready for the turbo yet ?

    If i posted an exhaust housing on fire no one would get it

    MegaSquirt was sent out to Peter Florance of FirstFives.org to fix an issue I was having - he has done so and will be mailing it back to me!
