You should drive by the BMW dealer and let them give you the code. It may be time for a new radio... they're pretty cheap now.
Okay, so i finally go the radio out. The number on the top is "BE0774 R7643676". Is this the serial number i need to get the radio code? Do i just type in the code and the radio will unlock?
here is a picture of the radio out, the numbers are on the shiney part below the white sticker and to the left of the barcode.
also:
this is a picture of the LCD display, i can't really tell if it is reading right. The top appears to say "CODE" but the bottom looks to have roman numerals, normal? I know the picture is terrible. Any help is appreciated.

your LCD dont look real healthy, Like Evan said drop by the dealer with radio in hav\nd and try out the code to see if it helps. Dont buy another radio without the code or at least the original vin number.
