Default LSD rear...here we go again with this question

Sure it's been asked more than once, but...
I was wondering if everyone who has tried 75w-90 in an LSD has had good results.A well-known company sold me this weight of Redline. They did'nt sell the 140 weight. Will I kick myself in the "rear" if I use it?

Red line 75w-90 with LSD additive is what I have in my 535's diff S3.91. Using Royal Purple Synchromax/Max Gear on my 325iX -- good stuff, as well...seen it solve shifting problems before.

Lowell- thanks, I guess I will buy the additive and try this setup. I have the 4.10S diff. Did you use the BG brand additive? BTW did you ever run that iX in snow? Seems like the car to have for that. Thanks, Josh.
ps. hey the wheels look good on that green car!

Redline 75-90 is good, make sure it's not NS. I think 140 is a little much, unless you beat on the car...

Well, the car doesn't get abused, although it does make occasional trips from PA to southern Illinois, about 715 miles, which I do with usually one or two quick stops. I noticed during the last trip that the "whirring" from the diff. was a little louder so I'll put in the 75-90 and additive and try 'er out. Thanks!

Once it's whirring, it usually needs a rebuild.

Carefully read the back of the bottle -- chances are it already has the LSD additive in it.

yes, I drive the iX in the winter, the 535 is driven in good weather.

My newly-installed 3.45 chattered too, and that prompted the move to Redline....
