Default No spark on cylinder 4.. Good coils.. M50

So I found out I am still getting now spark on cylinder 4 - that is why my engine runs rough. Coils are good. Now I have plenty of coils that are good but still gettin no spark. Anyone have any idea what it can be??

ok now were getting somewhere, glad you isolated it so far. did you change plugs? next step after confirming the plug status is to check voltage to that coil, compare it to neighboring cylinders. post what you find.

How do you know the coil is good?

Pull the DME. Smell it. A burnt final stage resistor can usually be sniffed just by removing the ebox cover. If not, you'll smell it when you take the DME apart.

Options are to replace the DME completely, or get Steve to find or sell you the correct type of transistor. I've never replaced one -- good soldering skills are necessary to execute this one successfully.

All other coil connectors are good - they have spark.. I used the same spark plug - grounded to the engine. How do I test a signal form the coil connector?

PS - anyone needs extra coils?? I have a lot of extra working ones apparently..
