Default Question about 750il power steering

I need to replace the power steering pump on my '88 750. I can pick up a used one at a pretty decent price, but I was wondering if all 750's had the auto leveling feature? I don't want to buy a pump that's not going to work with the leveling. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

Shogun, thanks for the link to check out the vehicle using the VIN. However, I was under the car yesterday and determined the leak is probably not from the pump itself, but leaking somewhere else, probably higher in the engine compartment. Has anybody had problems with power steering leaks? Is there a common place for the seals or hoses to leak? Thanks in advance for the help!

You have Pentosin CHF 7.1 for that. First thing to check is the gasket of the lid of the reservoir tank.
Then usually the high pressure hoses start leaking, or the hose/clamp under the reservoir tank.
Then the oil drops down to the next hose, goes /flows to the deepest point, then again etc etc, and finally it compes out under the car on a different place.
I also found a screw (hollow screw) in the power steering overtightened and it was broken by the previous owner.
    Here some info:

I just repaired my high pressure hoses while on a trip to Germany, as they are very expensive here in Japan.
Good source for the hoses is for example www.autohausaz.com

Or go to a hydraulic shop to get them renewed. Must be layed out for 200 Bar.

Thanks once again for the help. I looked last night and found fluid on the top of what looks like the regulator for the leveling system. It has two sensors and they were both wet with fluid, even under the boots that cover the connections. I suspect it is seeping somewhere up high, but will have to tackle the problem sometime in the near future since I am currently replacing the transmission and need to finish it first.

Ohh yes, these are also often defect, I forgot to mention them. They are not that expensive and very easy to replace.
