    Default Injectors

One or more of my injectors is bad and make a ticking and causes a slight miss. It is injector 5 or 6 or both. Should i:
    A. Buy 6 new injectors from 5Omotorsport
    B. Buy 2 new injectors and replace only the back two.
    or
    C. Find a local shop to refurbish all of my current 15yr old injectors.

I vote for the five0motorsport injectors too. There are some choices there and my experience is with the 19# D5B, Design II. You will also want to change to the 944S 3.5 bar FPR. My feeling is that without the higher pressure FPR, you willl actually lose some off throttle response.

The new injectors are 4-hole pintile versus 1 hole pintile. The BMW injectors have a lot of ridges around the tip which seem to love carbon. The new are smooth. I have not seen the new injectors after they have been run a while but I don't think they gunk up like the older ones.

This is an easy 3 hour job taking your time.

The options are the Design III injectors and these new "mean green" injectors which are 20# and are supposed to go on a car with external mods such as cold air and exhaust. I have no experience with either of these. I'd sure like to try the "mean green" however.

    Comments on this appreciated.

I am still running the stock FPR - have not really noticed a drop in off line performance. The new injecters felt better than the refurb injectors. My real problem turned out to be the AFM.

Car runs great now - can't beat 5.0 motorsports for their injector deals.
