A lot of pics about the whole project. Wish I have the time one day to do that also. The spare V12 engine I already have for that

I did not say that, the author said it.
    But to clarify things:
    The E31 European version
850 Ci was first built in 07/1989 with the M70 engine
    and
the 850Csi started 02/1992, but the V12 engine was an S70 engine.

The engine shown there is an M70 engine from a 750 E32. Not absolutely a 750iL, there was also the E32 750i short wheel base version, but never sold in the U.S.

you know.. i am a fan of doing different things but calling something what it's not (badging a bmw engine with something else, in this case) is just gay

    Well,
to be honest, I am watching and visting these meetings and online places very frequently.
It started out when I got an offer for one of my V12 M70 spare engines. It was for a AC Cobra Replica.
These guys are not backyard mechanics, they even race with their cars. If you have studied how they convert basic stuff into special stuff, I can only take my hat off in front of these persons
Not one of the easiest tasks, I know what I am talking about.
I have another "hobby" and project in progress I do not want to talk about on this board, as it it is not BMW related.

i think its awsome, at least hes not taking a fiaro (spelling) and making another gay lamboo conversion noticeable as a fake by any 10 year old, this guy is doing a good job, but i think he should just build a car without a name, just a custome car all his own.

shogun while i'd never doubt anything you say, your model dates conflict with this guy's

from what i have seen (not a lot), his seems to be the most comprehensive site on e31s.. is he off?

He may be right. I took the production start data from the realoem parts list by typing in the models in European version and the above came out.
    So probably he knows better.
