    Default M50 oil canister question

A new oil filter comes with 1 small rubber o ring for bottom of bolt and 2 washers of different sizes 1 seem to be a snug fit but the other 1 is a larger. diameter. Where (if anywhere) does this go or is it provided as an alternative ?
