Default Crashes on the icy road

Maybe this had already been posted.
There is a BMW in the beginning and another one towards the end.

Older than the internet, but funny to watch again. E34 driver pulled some nice little drifts before overcorrecting.

    Very funny to watch....

Yeah... there was zero reason for the e34 to get messed up in that....
If it cannot be fixed by the dremel or ducktape.. get out the sledge...

Makes a great case for studded tyres - I was driving on them 30 years ago in Stockholm and they made an enormous difference on ice.

I just cannot understand why they are not allowed in some countries ! (I know they chew up roads when there is no snow or ice, but surely worth using nonetheless.)

Loved the intelligence of the rescue truck operator !

Non-studded snow tires came a long way that makes studded snow tires be used for extreme icy weather only... They are that great... Nokian Hakka RSI (current one... Q for older one) are awesome.

You gotta remember that most of those sliding cars are only one all season tires... which is like wearing dress shoes...

The trucks were the ones that mainly started the accidents in the first place. Im not sure the e34 even hit anything. the volvo seemed to sotp quickly with that full-left-lick-then-straigth manuever.

I was most sorry for the e46 that had its side torn. Had that operator lighted the sign correct from the beginning it could have been avoided (I think).
