Default is there a way to use parts from a e30 4d seat to fix a 2dr twisted seat back???

when i use the lever to adjust the seat back angle it does not lock & i have access to a free front seat that works properly, but is from a 4 door & i have a 2 door. so i was wondering if i could use the good parts from the 4 door seat to fix mine.
    thanks

    Tim,
do a search for the online parts catalog. There are detailed drawings inside where you can compare both versions.

    Tim,
just did this on my 318iS. I bought a 2nd hand seat and because my car has been re-upholstered (not OEM) I had to take the covers off.
What I found was the seat frame had actually broken on the side bolster and at the lower lumber support. If you had the time you could get this fixed (re-welded). I'll take some photos and post later.

    Here's what I found.

    Hope this helps.
