Definitely, a good flogging helps clean out carbon deposits and other gunk.
However, from what I've heard, keeping it at a constant high rpm (5k+) burns oil.
In what range do you usually ran your engine? In my case it rarely passes over 3000.
Is it useful to rev the engine up to 4000-5000 from time to time (provided the engine is hot)?
