    The torque figures for M20B27 and M62B35/44/46 look way too high.

    maybe for the m62b35, but for m20b27? 170lb.ft? It has .2 liters on the m20b25, which I know for a fact is correct at 164lb.ft.

    121hp and 170 lb-ft don't seem to go together unless it's a diesel or the top engine speed (where peak power is developed I mean) was artificially limited. I don't have any definitive data on it, though. Just that the relationship looks too far off for a normal modern gasoline engine. Definitely the torques given for the M62s are wrong. I have the M62TU. Torque is specified at 324 lb-ft. The displacement of the M62B44 is wrong too, should be 4398. The M62B46 is dual Vanos. There are two major versions of the 4.4L M62. The M62 non-TU delivers 310lb-ft of torque, the M62TU 324 lb-ft. The non-TU uses Bosch Motronic 5.2.1, the TU version uses ME7.2 (which feature throttle-by-wire, which earlier versions do not). The TU version, however is not the M62B46 which appears to be the version in the E60. So, it looks like you're missing an entire entry for the E39 vintage M62TU. If you want to go really , you might want to distinguish between the m/y 1997 and 1998 4.4L motors. The former uses Motronic 5.2 (no Vanos), the latter 5.2.1 (Vanos).

    By the way, the unit for torque is "lb-ft", not "ft-lb". The latter is a unit of work. Don't blame me, I don't make the rules. Like it or not, lb-ft is torque, ft-lb isn't, and they're not interchangeable.
