the S don't mean what it once did, on a e30 you got a posi diff good looking wheels bitchen seats a trip computer and bilstein shocks, on a e36 you get a badge and if unlucky those ugly tight mesh wheels
I am curious I cannot find any information about the optional "sport" package for the e36 325is.. Apparently the S does not mean sport???? What does the sport package entail??

all america wants is cold beer warm cat and a place to take a poop with a door on it
All the S stands for is coupe. The newer 3, the E46 uses C for coupe, but the e36 uses s. The sport package is a different package all together. It has the same thing winfred said bout the e30, different rims, sport seats, posi, and trip computer, and a slightly tighter suspension. Depending on what year your car is it is vary hard to find the sport package.
