    Default HVAC control panel

Is the temp control of the driver side different from the passenger side? Namely, driver side has detent, while the passenger side does not?

Putting the drivers side temperature control to either detent will override the passenger side temperature dial and give either maximum heating or cooling to both sides of the car. Hope that helps!

So, it means the passenger side does not have the detent, right?
All this time I was thinking the right side was broken

No, not broken. It should be that way.
