Default Jon K your interior is so nice, its sicking.

haha not sickining towards you, but it makes my interior look like someone wiped it with everything and anything.

Im not talking about ur Shifter or that kind of thing but your dash and just the actually sides of ur doors and whatnot.

What did u do to ur interior to make it look so dam good. Costs? did u do it all urself?

More pics please.!!! it just might encourage me.

JonK's car is so sweet its sickening. I try not to look at it. He put a lot of time into it and I don't think one could ever ever ever ever get back what aws put into it.

    sickening.

or perhaps really smooth. (that's easier to spell).

Advanced class please use: sickeningly smooth.

A little detailing spray every three months and it will stay like that (plus vac)... unless you own a dog that rides in the car!

While we are on the subject, what should one use for a deatailing spray? I have armor-all wipes for various surfaces, but i have read bad things about armorall and i dont really like the shiny residue it leaves behind.

Haha thanks guys. My interior is just ideas that brew in my head until i have the courage to tear stuff apart and make it happen. I am not completely satisfied with it yet. However, it's close to where I want it to be. The costs are hard to estimate because I did the whole thing myself. The fiberglass/bondo was prob $30 for the dash install but took about 20hrs to perfect. The alcantara is only like $75/yard but i had to take all the door panels out and cut and adhere the fabric etc. It's not too expensive if you take it on yourself, but some people don't have the time or opportunity.

It didn't look the way it does in a blink of an eye - here's proof:

I don't think I've seen pics of Jon's door trims. I just looked at his Virtual Car Show thread and didn't see 'em there either. Has he done those in alcantara, too?

I'm pretty happy with my car's interior. It's close to 100%, IMHO, but there are vinyl pieces that were leather in later E34s. I would like to swap them at some point.

I was ready to say the EXACT same thing that jaylebo just did. The second BMW that i ever rode in was a '94 530i manual and it had the gathered leather door panels, mine has vynil door panels and its about the only drawback to the interior.
