Default 535i upgrade with parts from a 735i

i was woundering if anyone here had any ideas about diffrent parts that would transfer over and improve my current car (535im). I think that the fronts brakes would be an improvement but dont know if the rears will fit. Also is the brake booster better in the 7.

also the sway bars.... are they thicker beacuse the 7 is a bigger car?

does the electronic air conditioning controls swap over?

anyone else have any ideas at all?

thanks everyone in advance for all the input

front brakes are a direct swap and a nice improvment, the rears are the same size but a slightly different offset so they don't work. sway bars may or may not be bigger on the 735, i had a front bar from a 740 on my 535 that was a couple mm bigger. the push button hvac system is way different but if you wanted to totally gut the interior from the seats forward and swap everything you may be able to get it to work, but personally i like the cable control vents better so i can decide where the air goes, automatic climate control systems usually piss me off

I could be wrong, but I think the 7 series has some interior leather parts that are vinyl in the 6-cylinder E34 (e.g. door trims). If you care about such things, you could swap those.

Nope, but I thought the e32 was a wider shell, and the rear seat certainly does not. Why you would want an e32 dash escapes me- the 5 one is far racier and more practical (IMHO). Interesting about the brakes tho- are the rears the same? Are the fronts only different discs and callipers? The booster is specific to the weight + balance of the car, so don't change it or the master cylinder over.

Maybe the 735 brakes the same as 540 or perhaps some M5 ones in that case?

    Default swayabars

ok so, i looked around a little more on the net and the front sway bar is thicker but only by 1 mm and the rear is the same. one question though. do the swaybars wear out and will 1 mm make a diffrence. the other car has 200,000k less than mine does.

    Default possible factory upgrades

The factory OE brake "upgrade" for E34 5 Series are 750i front and M5/540i rear. Uses *standard* pads and rotors makes it a good deal!

Another common upgrade is using the Boge 750i control arm bushing.

One interesting upgrade, if you could find it, is to get the E32 750i Xenon light option. Its my understanding that this is/was a $1300+ option. If you could find it, should be direct bolt in:

Anyone know of any junkyards in Germany/Europe?.....
