    Default Transmission fluid leak

My transmission has a big leak coming from somewhere on the top(?) of the transmission and dripping down where the electrical plug is (on the left) and running toward the back of the car on the ledge above the pan on the left side. At first i thought it was the electrical plug, so i put silicone around it (since i couldnt put a new o-ring in w/o dropping the transmission) but it still leaks, seemingly more every day.

My output shaft seal is dry, and it doesnt leak at the front of the transmission, so the shifter seal is the only thing i can think of. Has anyone replaced this before, and how long should it take?

I've done it, it's a piece of cake. Take off the lever. Don't scratch or mar the interior- use a very sharp dental pick. Pull old one out. Use a hollow tube to press the new one in. New ones are about 50 cents. I got em from Jaggi.
