Default Wanted: M50 non vanos long block/complete motor

hey guys I am looking for a m50 non vanos long block or complete motor. I preferably do not want to pay for accessories (alternator, PS pump, etc). This motor will be subject to massive rebuild for big forced induction project in the very near future. Preferably in the NE USA but I'll take what I can find.

Also, will an M50 non vanos head fit on an M52 long block?

I assume you mean to inquire whether an M50 head will fit on an M52 short block, as a long block would already have a head.

Terminology aside, I know the pistons are different, but the bore should be the same. And given that the motor will be built, anyway, you'll be replacing the pistons, rods, and maybe the crankshaft...so that little facet wouldn't matter. Heck, I'd try it

Jon, I have an M50 short block available for experimental purposes only. Supersizing, or a good honing would be imperative as its seen many a mile, but the 'cheap ass' factor might interest you.

Its in Canada, but still might be worth your while, depending on the project.

pm, or otherwise let me know,

    Dave M
