    Excellent write up - I'll have to fix mine at sometime - I couldn't figure out why battery kept going flat until I realised it was cos constantly charging up my torch!!!

    Default well, that is the simple version

    here my super tuned ones
    A friend of mine developed this based on our discussions. Has Goldcaps inside and an special board, 3 LEd's or different ones.
    He is selling the set installed for 20 EURO at cost price. People have to send in their old ones, he modifies them and removes a lot of the innards, makes the shell on some areas thinner so that all fits. Then sends them back to sender. Bad luck, he lives in Germany. Charged in 5 minutes and is much brighter than the standard one.
    This one I built with a cell phone battery and LED's 3 years ago based on the idea from Jon Evans in the U.K.
