is there a web site that shows a diagram of a particular part in relation to other parts if i know the part number - sort of opposite to the way realoem works ?

This one works with cross references= it shows you in which other cars the same part number also has been installed.

You can do (almost) the same thing with realoem.com...but you have to make a couple of clicks.

You have to get the part number, then go to the "search by part #" link, enter the part number in the box and click "search", then click "details for all" to see all of the cars that your part number was installed on.

    Confused??? Try it!!

Is there any way to check online the old part numbers and then find out the up-to-date ones and from when these parts where available?

Reason is that I bought 3 modules from German Ebay and seller says they are from a 1993 E32 740. If so, the GM would have the feature of all 3 windows one touch down.
Or could someone check that out for me?

    GM: 61.35-8 356 095 6070. 109110
The GM has a white dot on the back, do not know what that means

    Paul,
can you check also the parts on 1993 and early 1993 E32 740 LHD, European specification?

I think the Loewe (maker) LKM was only in the last year(s). I found also a Lower LKM in my parts 750iL from 03/1994.

    Thanks a lot

ditto...you can look up something by the part # only...and you can cross reference that part to all other BMW models that use it.

If you already know the part #...you can click the link (see red arrows) shown in pic below and enter the 11 digit or 7 digit BMW part #...

...you will be sent to the page below if you click the link in pic above...and you can either enter the 11 or 7 digit BMW part #...search by a keyword (like mirror)...or click the link (red arrows) to cross reference part #s...

..if you click the "part reference link" in the pic above...you will go to this page where you can type in the BMW 11 or 7 digit part # and cross reference a part to see what other BMW models use that same part. You may also want to click the "EURO" box and use the "left hand" drive models for parts that don't appear in the USA diagrams but are available in Europe.

All the above can be done from the online parts database...www.realoem.com/bmw

    Fine,
but how can I find out what is the new part number of a part, if I have an old part with the old p/n only? See my above numbers which I found on parts which I bought.
As you know, part number system has been changed from those old days.
