Plastic ones??? Get braided ones, they look waaaaayyyyy cooler!
Hi,
anyone know where to purchase new fuel line in the UK?
I am told that old lines can be replaced by plastic ones. Where can these be obtained and is it possible to fit them yourself.

I'm not aware of plastic ones, I was not given that option with mine: Ideally I would have got them made, you can buy them from BMW but its cheaper to find a garage that can cut/bend metal line to the correct fit.
I actually ended up with the most rotten sections being replaced with rubber fuel line
i bought new fuel lines for my diesel 525 last year, about £25 each from the BMW dealership, was cheaper than getting my local garage to replace them, making them up.

Just get the OEM line(s) from the dealer and bend them as necessary. It's not a hard or time consuming job. The most difficult thing about it is removing the phillips screws that secure the plastic clamp downs for brake/fuel lines...they tend to fuse together with rust around here...
