Default OT: Sold my Caprice Classic 1978 today. ...

Car served my family for 27 years, it went for the equivalent of USD 2090 at official exchange rate (1650 at black market). Was in less than perfect condition, but served as a spare when the BMW or the truck were ill.

Making room for the Odyssey? just waiting for he 2006 model to reach the dealers, so we can go take a close look and make our minds.

Deep inside I feel sorry, just like the time we sold our 1975 Chevy Nova, too many good times and loyalty. Hope the new owner care and enjoy it.

The first BMW I owned, a 1969 1600, I sold in 1994 after owning it for 23 years. I hated to see it go but the engine was in no shape to pass the California emissions standards and the pain to bring it into compliance was too much. I bought the car for $1,700 and sold it for $3,500.

    Javier,

do you have a foto of the car?
Just for us in the rest of the world how it looks like after so many years.
Have never seen one on the road here.

Wow Curt--you go. Does this mean if we all keep our e34s for 23 years we can sell them for twice what we paid for them?

Javier--sorry about the loss of the 4 wheel family member. It is always important to adopt them out to a good home.

Only if you pour 5x the buying price of the car back into the car over the 23 years like I did with the 1600 ! Or was that 10x?

Default OK Shogun, here it is, it is not a very recent one, ...

but may be 4 to 5 years old. It is the best I could find, zoomed out from a family picture.
