Default Does any body know where to buy distilled water for radiator?

    Hi All.

Does any body can tell me where can I find distilled water to add into coolant for radiator? I live in Houston, TX (USA). Do you guys know any national chain store or local Houston store which carries distilled water?

    Thanks.

    Best Regards,

Thanks a lot quick reply Badkrma,

I did not know that. I am going to try now. Should I look for any special label or just "Distilled warter" written in the label?

    Best Regards.

Kroger has it and it just says distilled. It should be like .85 cents a gallon.

If you can't find it in a supermarket as the others have suggested, look at a drug store. For some reason the supermarkets near me don't carry distilled water, but the drug stores do.

Yea, it should be at any super market in gallon jugs like milk. I put some in my expansion tank right before we drove it home when i bought it just as a precaution because it was a long drive in 100+ degree weather in stop and go traffic. I havent added any since.

Yup, pretty much every supermarket has it. Yes, it's labelled "distilled water", which is different from other waters. It has no minerals it it. It's nothing but hydogen and oxygen.

Interesting that supermarket can sell distilled water, which must have significant adnl cost assoc with the distillation process, for the same price as "spring" water which is commonly suspected of coming directly from municipal water supplies. I save water from the dehumidifier. Plenty of that in season here in NC.
