    i've got a 89' 535i manual and i love the car but i've heard/read that the e34 M5 is 10x the car ....

    is it worth it or even possible to get M5 handling and performance out of an upgraded 535i?

    any M5 owners on this board that could contribute some comments? thanks!

    also, anyone know if there are any Alpina B10 biturbos in north america ...supposed to blow away the M5 (inlcuding e39 M5's) ....wish i had one ;-)

    Default you could get close to the handling but not the performance

    unless you go the turbo route!

    The big difference from M5 to other E34's is the engine.
    Tuning the M30 to match the power of the M5, wont make it a highreving screemer like the S38.
    If you get a used S38 with Getrag 280/5 and 3.91 diff, and the complete M5 suspension installed in your 535i, then you have the handling and performance of the M5.

    Uh oh, Bahn now look what you did to me.....I just had a day dream about a 3.25 Quaife LS in place of my 2.81.

    ...well, that and a set of Schrick cams to make some more ponies! (I figure 340+ with Mark's chip in place of the Korman)

    Default turbos

    anybody have any experience with low boost mosselman turbo systems on a e34 M30 engine? I'm wondering how reliable it would be and by how much it would shorten the engines life expectancy.

    while on the topic of turbos has anyone ever come across any info on the Dinan 535i (88-92); 0-60 in 4.5s and 450hp (Bruno's website).... sounds like a freeking monstser...
