auto transmission mis-shift
does anyone ever experience the mis-shift at highway speeds with their automatic transmission?
at highway speed, my transmission will attempt but fail to drop a gear going up hill or when attempting to pass and the engine will rev up to near redline and then the transmission will slam into gear.
any recommendations or insight would be appreciated.

Isnt the transmission supposed to rev to redline before shifting when passing. I always assumed that the higher the revs the less smoothly the transmission will shift as well. You might try resetting you computer so that the transmisison can "relearn" your driving patterns and be more likely to downshift when you need so and so on. If the reset doesnt suit your needs you might try sport mode.
