    Default Is replacing the A/C evaporator a big job?

    How long might it take for a normal mechanic? Any idea of cost?

    whew man...thats in heater core territory I think, not quite there but close, look down the posts as someone here has documented the whole job in pictures doing the heater core job, was just a few days ago.

    It's not....actually very easy to change out......changed mine out when I redid complete AC system in my 91. I did get a BMW unit and new Exp. Valve.

    i believe my mechanic told me in the area of 7-8 hrs
