There is a good article in Car & Driver reviewing 7 different performance meters against timing lights and C&D's GPS system.
I have the G-Tech RR now but haven't played with it too much yet. I had the original G-Tech Pro for about 4 years and it worked pretty good, definately worth the $30 or so they are selling for now.
Bottom line on any of the accelerometer based meters is that they are great for before/after type of testing to see if how much difference a particular mod makes on the car. That's what I mainly use it for. I do plan on using this new one combined with Slip-Angle software when I make my auto-x runs in the e30 to compare each run.
