    Default Made a stupid mistake...

I used that radiator "fix" a leek and it fixed the leek but i went today to change my fluid out and everything is coated with this milky stuff. im wondering if theres anything i can do now? i filld my radiator up with water and draind it a few times before filling up with the ornge coolent. so im going to drive it for a while and see if the ornge coolent turns milky again like the water did. Some advice would be good here on what I should do.

Hopefully someone will learn from my misstakes.

It fixed the leak, but it can also clog the return flow. I guess you can just wait & see. Just turn it off if it overheats.

    Orange coolant?

I've always, always heard, only use OEM BMW coolant (green).

The BMW-brand coolant I've seen has been blue.

If I were pyro, I'd be concerned about gunking up the heater control valves. They're touchy enough when everything's at spec. See the recent thread started by shogun to see why.

How about taking it to a shop and having it power flushed? I've heard bad stuff about those products.

Isn't the orange coolant , the Mercedes Benz coolant, which I've heard is the same as the BMW?

Actually I just remembered, the Mercedes Benz coolant is pink and is several dollars less than the BMW blue. I paid the couple extra dollars. I just couldn't see myself putting something pink in my car.

    dude thats messed up!

Get as much of that crap out as you can, a flush from one of them quickie places is probably about 30 bux, i would recommend it. Tell them NOT to put in any antifreeze just water, get your own BMW cool blue so that you KNOW whats in it.

The orange coolant if mixed with other coolant will turn into jello. BMW cool blue is "blue" You have your fun ahead of you and I wouldnt wait. You will also want to flush the pisser line or you will have over heating problems.
