I never really noticed any special smell behind the rear armrest (i just wnt out and sniffed it) but there is a nice big piece of leather that is nice and thick and supple behind it. It really feels alot softer when there is so upholstery behind it. It makes me wish my seats were gathered leather.

Yeah, when i dont get into my car for a couple of days (A lazy weekend), the cars smells really good, but it still doesnt smell as good as that armrest. I had a bunch of panels fized on my drivers seat. The new leather made the whole car smell new.
