Default Are BMW seat belts simply rubbish?

    When compared to these?

    Has anyone tried them?

I was thinking of getting a roll cage to go with my new K&N lookalike filter and custom, light-up, blow-off valve.

But now it looks like I won't need to as these will bolt to the car's existing mounting brackets!!!

With a set of these my e34 could hit a tree or three and I'm sure I'd still be ok!!!!

I reckon everyone should get a pair.

Would anyone be interested in a group buy if we can get the price down?

    Dude!!!

You can't compare racing belts to stockers, stockers are designed to do their job well for many years.

Them racing belts have many more points of reference for a totally different application setting comfort away. Now look into your race catagorie and you will see that those are only approved for racing for what 2-3 years max?

    Priorities take context here.

Fellows, I'm gonna write to the guy and ask him if he'll give us a 20% discount for a group buy. That'd make them... let's see...

    80c each.

Not a bad investment considering it is the only thing between you and certain death in the case of an accident.

I should be able to scrape that together even on my budget.

Imagine the weight loss from those heavy old BMW belts! Wow I might get a better quarter-mile time too..

Would you trust this 'racing' harness from eBay to save your life? I'd rather take my chances with the stocker...

you just need to figure out how to atach them so that they don't pull out, as in weld in thick metal plates on both sides of the floor pan then bolt through both, also making the rear mountings for the sholder straps at the correct position so you don't break your back when the belts pull you down into the seat if you hit something if they are bolted to the floor
all america wants is cold beer warm cat and a place to take a poop with a door on it

Very, very comfortable and fitting when you drive to your office with suit and necktie, and maybe you get attention of the people when you unwind at the bakery shop to get your morning ......

Haha, a guy slaps on some ///M logos to some cheap belt and the belt is race car worthy.
