hi im looking for a performace chip for my 1990 325i, can anybody tell me all the informatoin that i can know about it... the ups and downs,,, what it does how much of it and if its worth it. where do you put it on the engine also. thanks

Is it a E30, or E36?
The E36 was produced from September 1990. You just mention 1990.

The best chips for the 173 ECU are the

Mark D chip
93 octane 325i chip (but can be used with 91 gas)

Then there is the Jim C chip for 325i which is popular and available
used for around $100 sometimes, or Craigslist or Ebay, or new at
www.turnermotorsports.com

The chip goes into the ECU which is above the glove compartment
and relatively easy to take out and install.
