That's pretty good. I've been trying sooo hard to be gentle... I get 30% better gas mileage by simply driving like a grandma.

Funny thing is, I'll start off from the light and go at a rate that I think is super slow... and the people around me are going as slow as I am, and they're just going normal! Says something about how fast I usually take off.

I think to myself, "wow. these other people must be really trying to save gas just like I am..."

well this is much better than I ever got, think I was just under 22 at best before when grannying it but now I have the 3:64 instead of the 3:15 rear gear and I think that has a lot to do with it.

trying to get your mpg up is like trying to lower your cholesterol.

i haven't driven my e34 in over a month due to the fact that the e30 gets a good 5 mpg better, i was just about to get back into it and the fugging gas prices shot through the roof with the storm but they are comming down, around a dime a gallon over what it was before it started if you know where to look

16 mpg, mostly city. I had it at 18 for a while, but a one minute spirited run in S4 pretty much took away a whole 2 mpg.

Since I replaced the bad ignition coil I avaeraged 18.8-19mpg. But today I hit 22.4 (80 miles on the hwy)!

Thinking about changing the 02 sensor and replacing other5 coils. Maybe then I can hit the advertized epa rating of 26-28.

you all clearly aren't s00per studs like moi....
my vehicle came equipped with the bmw adaptive catalytic converter
as in, when the gas prices jumped 50 cents this month, it adapted by blowing itself out. the extra 1.5-2 mph city is helpful.
