Default Palm Springs Her I Come!

See you guys in a couple of days. The BMW's gassed up and I'm headed out to Palm Springs, CA for a little golf, the USC Trojans vs Hawaii on big screen Saturday night and a little rest and relaxation by the pool.

    Have a Happy Labor Day!

    Nick

Remedial US holidays for Aussies. I expect you will return the favor.

Labor Day is a 3 day weekend that is includes the first Monday in Sept. It is to honor the working people of this country--we are big into the work ethic in this country and that is why our country is so wealthy compared to many others. We work our arses off here compared other parts of the world--the europeans think we are nuts because we have longer work weeks hourwise and much shorter vacation time.

This is not a holiday that people have much feeling about. It book marks the end of summer. Summer begins with Memorial day--a 3 day at the end of May to honor those who served in our wars. Both are the lost weekends of american culture where you barbeque and drink, tackle home improvement projects, and don't have family obligations.

Palm Springs is inland southern California. It is a dessert community and a destination for people in the north to come in the winter to escape a the brutal winters for a week. It is likely to be very hot there this weekend.
Lots of golf courses there. Look at Ralphs license plate. You will notice he is passionate about golf and usc. USC is a university in Los Angles that alums are very passionate about and no one else cares. Sorry Ralph.

Got back today. It was hot and humid. Had a blast, but boy I'm glad I'm back!

What did you shoot, and on what course, and what was the course rating.

I went to monterey this weekend. Super fun, lots of $$ spent on food.

    Hmmm Palm springs.
What kind of drop will they give?
I might consider them over the Votglands if the ride is not too harsh.

BTW - Do Palm make shocks as well?

Didn't play that well. I think I shot 94 at Indian Wells Country Club (Not sure of the course rating). I couldn't sink any putts.

Very spongy ride. They don't last that long.

Default Another shitty day in paradise

Just so we have a complete accounting of how the California Troika spent the holiday weekend... I stayed in the hood and went sailing. Had an absolute blast! Saw the America's cup sailing vessel. Saw a small Swedish sub and an lots of other interesting boats. Lots of laughs and managed not to get burned or hurl. An absolutely perfect day.
