    Default Changing HT Leads

I'm starting to get upset now!
I'm changing the HT Leads on my E34 M20. There's a moulded wire that goes from the cylinder 1 lead to a plug under the carb. Someone told me it's the TDC sensor, but I'm not sure if that's true. How do I get that off? Am I missing an easy trick, 'cos at the minute I'm also missing several layers of skin from my knuckles.

Do I just keep pulling or what.

    Any ideas?

    Ben.

    don't make me spell carburetor!!!
It's not under it, more below it, behind the dipstick. Just where you can't see it.

it should be plugged into the bottom of the plastic box that covers the wiring harness

I'm not a mechanic, I do computers better than I do cars, honest. Though if I'd thought about it, the i on 525i should have warned me.
    :P to you all!
The wire at the bottom of the big metal thing that gets hot and under the bit where the plastic pipe goes into the big metal thing.

There, I've exposed my limit of enginical knowledge! Now can anyone help?
