No way! That thing has to be some kind of cover-up shell for a real car. Isn't it? Please tell me it is. That thing is FUGLY! Its worse than the Mercedes G-wagon.

i love how no-one can bear to call the thing a van, when its suggested that it will be called frigging V-series. high speed mass people transporter, my @ss....wonder how much bribery was involved for that habit to take hold, as i've heard multiple people call the thing a "high speed mass transporter" or variations. and no, in case anyone doesn't know, that isn't the actual shape of the vehicle that will be marketed.

    Yeah.

    Ryan,
I know that's not how it will look. After posting, I found an artist's concept of the thing and the drawing looks like a big 3 series touring. Regardless it's still going to have the "driving feel of a coupe and the raised seating positon of an SUV" not to mention four doors.

    So it's a low clearance , high-sitting, 4 door coupe???????

They just build that type of body to test the powertrain and the other guts of the car before the actual body panel design is ready for production.

That body most likely was designed by the engineers working on the real meat of the car just so they could get it on the track.

Why bother given the new X5 will be a 7 seater anyway ?
