HELP...NEED 1995-1998 E38 CD Changer

DOES ANYONE have a cd changer from an E38 (or whatever other models may have had this changer) that they'd wish to part with, or have removed because of an aftermarket system ?

My 1996 E38 is giving the dreaded "CD ERROR" message.

Yes, I've taken it apart and cleaned the lens and it worked for about 2 days, then started the same S__T again !!!!

i am removing the cd changer from my 95 540i, will get the part number off it and see if it matches, i am in Australia though.. cost of shipping may be what the unit is worth.

Have you checked with the Australian BMW Club members? Often people want to part when they upgrade.

And by the way: WHAT TYPE. MODEL is the CD changer. make it a BIT easier to others to help.

also, have you tried a different (new) CD magazine...sometimes replacing the old "worn out" ones fixes the problem.

This unit has a 13 pin DIN connector.
