    Default Hey!.....

...That thing got a Hemi in it???

From the looks of that blower, I'd say you're going to sound like an A10 making a low level pass! No Tornado-air thingee there, huh! What are the procedures as far as start-up/shut-down on the turbo? My PT Cruiser has a small turbo, but I have been told by a few folks "in the know" that I don't need to really worry about warm-up/cool-down periods.

    Brian C:

I think your turbo is both oil fed and coolant cooled, and most OEM manufacturers, knowing how pathetically naive their customers are, have an aux coolant pump that runs for a few mins after the car shuts off to keep the coolant cool to prevent the oil from just baking onto the turbine. Realistically, you're fine. Idle the car for maybe 20 - 30 seconds before shutdown; it won't really help cool the turbo, as much as it will keep the oil to a minimum (idle pressure) and thus cool-down will be as clean as possible. You could invest like $100 into a turbo timer, though you really really don't have to worry. It's warrantied anyway.

I am not sure, "Dirk" from ASA told me "UPS to United States $110 Euro" so it'd better be by facking air for that price.

The wheel in the back is the outter rim of a BBS RS 3 piece 16x11" for the Porsche. All BBS 2 and 3 piece rims have gold buckets on the inside, but silver painted on the outside (visible side). BBS RS is very similar to Style 5 but has a stepped vs. flat dish.

I can;t wait to see this installed. I'm thinking of adapting a Jap (Toyota Crown) supercharger to get some low boost at a low price.. (and to just see how it goes) as it is measured in hundreds not thousands. But this turn Jon's ol M30 into a Messuschmidt without wings. I don't think it'll need em either...
