My wife, son, and I did the Ultimate Drive back in May. We test drove the X5 4.4i and the 645ci convertible. I sent in a little review to our local CCA chapter's newsletter editor of my fun with these two new offerings from BMW. "Footnotes" just came out yesterday, and imagine my surprise when I saw this:
August 2005
I only wish we had taken that shot in front of the bimmer dealer instead of the Mitsu lot.

Nice. I joined, ran a local chapter...and never recieved that publication. :P
As the Editor of our local BMW Club's magazine I know that your Ed is always looking for interesting articles from Members to print and yours fits the bill (pun intended) perfectly - keep up the good work.
By the way, is that 2,669 Members for your Local Chapter of CCA, the State or for the whole Country?

Phil
Web makes an excellent BMW "poster child".....what a memory to cherish! Good work Bill.

...the X3?
I don't know much about it's mechanics, but after taking a 10 minute look inside one last week I've decided that it is about as Fugly as Fugly can be. Like driving one of those teeny little short yellow school buses. It looks like it was made small for no real good reason.
But.....since I received my raffle tix yesterday, I'll be cruisin' in style come November in my new M5! I'll come give you a ride. The little Web-ster looks like he might not EVER be happy in any other brand!

That's so cool! Gotta laminate that and put it in the scrapbook! By the time he's ready to drive you may be able to afford that same car!

See the link to a post I put up afterwards. I'm writing an article for submission to Roundel about my experience as a 1st time attendee...waiting for permission from the "official" photographers to use their photos in my story before sending it off to Satch.Originally Posted by Chip
