    Default My new toy......FINALLY!!!

    I've been asked to show pics of my new (used) car. I really can't believe it's this straight and clean. Pics are before Vogtland springs install and shadowline trim [IMG][/IMG] and after........having had 3 diiferent 5-speed 535i for the past 11 yrs I can honestly say the 540i 6-speed is way faster and much more appealing to my senses.....next phase: Racing Dynamics stainless exhaust and RD2 18" wheels and tires

    Cool car! I love that hood emblem. I am a bit of a newbie so can you or anyone explain it.

    Nice car...

    That's a racing dynamics hood emblem. Think you can still order them via electrodyne.

    It's a Racing Dynamics hood emblem. The car is a 1995 540i 6-speed, 108k, Nikasil engine w/ 4% leakage (certainly well within spec). It was equipped with M-tech suspension, and LSD. Now it has Vogtland springs, Boge OE shocks and struts, and Racing Dynamics RGP 17x8.5" wheels. I am installing a 3 spoke "sport" steering wheel that has been customized.     some of us 535 owners have motorcycles with 120+ hp at the wheel that will annihilate anything short of 600hp on the road.. "way" faster is a relative term

    540s are wuss....at least you opted for the power/weight savings on Nikasil... best power improvement that cant be measured!
