Default Acetone In Fuel Said to Increase Mileage.....

    http://pesn.com/2005/03/17/6900069_Acetone/

quite a lengthy article..... I'm not really ready to jump on it and try it with my car (maybe my wife's)

but an oz or two/10 gal of fuel isn't really all that much.....

    Thoughts?

Sounds like a paint job accident waiting to happen.

Sooo the last time I used Acetone was to clean some paint off a little piece of metal set in plastic. I found out - quickly - that the acetone completely destroyed the plastic. It turned to sand - literally.

Soo.. given the amount of plastic and rubber in the fuel system, I'd say this is a really, really, really bad idea.

Alchohol works good in both tanks (mine and my cars)....
