Default AutoZone "Loan a Tool" Program...Of course, it's FREE !!!

Just ran into this ads on AutoZone website...
Didn't see anyone previously posted it on the board. Anyway, pls call & check w/ your local AutoZone if they have this program.
(Frankly, I 've never known about this program before. Anyway, I'll give it a try this wk-end for a shock compressor.)

    Loan-A-Tool Program

There's nothing like having the right tool for the job.
That's the idea behind AutoZone's free Loan-A-Tool service. It's the most complete selection of seldom-used, expensive-to-own specialty tools that will help you do the job right. We offer more than 60 different tools for all sorts of jobs - steering and suspension work, air conditioning jobs, engine repair, and more.

Using our Loan-A-Tool service is easy. Just leave a deposit at the store when you pick up the tool. When you're through, just bring it back, and we'll refund the deposit.

A complete listing of the available tools are listed by category in the column on the right. Or stop by your local store and ask an AutoZoner for assistance.

I used their spring compressor last year on my previous car. I just gave them a $35 - $45 deposit which I got back when I returned the tool.

I have a valve spring compressor out from them right now for like $20. Should get it all back upon return.

I don't think they have a time limit either...Anyone know of one?
Previously I had some tools out for over a month IIRC. Returned them no problem.

They get to earn interest on your money while you have it out, plus you might buy parts from them to use also...

Yeah, I rented a spring compressor a few times and had no problems with it. All in all it was a pretty nice deal.

It's a decent program. You buy the tool and they give 90 days to return it for your money back.
