Default How to use brake shims? Help!

I just got a front set of Raybestos QS pads for my BMW. They came with 4 metal shims that appear to have paper protecting the sticky side. I have no idea how to use them (if at all)

BTW, they also came with universal brake lube. I was going to use Plastilube. I also have a new set of ATE rotors.
    Thanks,
    Thanks,

    Default Brake pad shims . . .

Yes, you'll want to use the shims, they greatly reduce any tendency for brake squeal. Simply peal the paper off of the shim and stick the metal pad to the back of the brake pads. Just for qood measure, I always goop the back of the pads with anti-squeal compound in addition to the stick-on shims.
