    Default Thanks stewart but........

........there are two connections on the intake, i understand that the front one is for the fuel pressure regulator and the other goes to the hose coming from the valve cover breather hose. Does this one tee from the valve cover hose?

    thanks,
    rommel

Nice job on the mileage. How long have you owned it? Original top / bottom end / tranny? Anything? Gives us hope.

in almost 10 years of dealing with these cars i've not seen anything there, it must be for a euro car, i seal it with a blob of rtv or jb-weld would be better just give whatever you use time to cure before you run the car or it'll get sucked in

Default Mine's a euro '88 535ia & it just had a rubber bung on that pipe

the original snapped off due to britalty... bought a new valve and used the old rubber bung. if you don't it'll suck air in and lean the mix badly. Perhaps it is a good spot to take off vacuum for a vacuum gauge if you get one (perhaps BMW use it on one car with this valve that employs vacuum powered accessories, but I don't know of any.... who knows...) Default Hi Dave,..

    ........
All is still original, been using 15w50 mobile one since we aquired her at 30k. I have given her to my brother who just graduated from University of MD. We replaced the head gasket cause of a mild coolant leak on the exhaust side and cant figure out what plugged into this.
