Default Touring - courtesy light at rear hatch

Thought that I had blown a rear speaker in my touring. Heaven knows I've tried! But upon closer inspection, found the speakers were fine. There is something rattling up above the headliner right by the light. I can get the clear cover off, but dicked around with the light housing for half an hour with no luck. How's that thing come out without busting it?

    TIA

It's got a spring clip similar to the one in your rub-strip sidemarker. You need to find the right end with a flathead and compress it against the light bucket to pull it out. If you pull it, it will surely break, but it is gluable......

don't ask me why, I just went out and toldja

Not sure what's rattling, but the only way to remove that rear ceiling panel is after the reading lights are out...I'm pretty sure the center light comes out the same way.

My sidemarkers were really easy to remove, so you could easily get an idea of what the clip looks like.
