Default Anyone running Falken tires? Tires.com have...

...them for a good price, but haven't seen any reviews. I'm just driving around town, and trips, so don't need anything fancy. I have the stock wheels -- 225/ 60 HR15. Otherwize I'm interested in Kumho but it looks like they aren't making them in 15 inch now (although Tirerack still advertize them). Also the Bridgestone Potenza G009s get good reviews but they are a bit more expensive. Or, I could shell out and get Michy Pilots. Mmm.

The previous owner had Falken Ziex ZE-512 on the front and Bridgstone Potenzas on the rear. The rears are in their final days. Tires.com has great prices on the Falkens and is running a free shipping deal. I really like the Falkens.

I heard the Falkens were good tires, but they wear down fast.

If you are like me, a commuter and average 80mph driver, i would recommend the R rated tires by BFGoodrich. Phillips Tires has them for a REALLY good price. R rated is rated at 113mph as opposed to H rated at 135mph. I don't think I will be going that fast.

Anyways, I got them installed and out the door for $280 for four new ones.

I have the Ziex ZE-512s and love them. So far I only have about 10k on them but cant see any visible wear anywhere not even on the corner tread. I would recommend them to anyone that doesnt want an ultra high performance street racing tire. They are so far the quietest and smoothest tire I have ran. They are an all weather tire which means they dont hydroplane and handle real good.

Have 205/65 15 Ziex from Discount Tire on e28 535. Good handling, long treadwear waranty, good price and would buy again.

I'm currently running Yoko's AVS dBS2 (226/60-15) on mine. Have about 22k (including 3 track weekends) on them. Very satisfied and will probably get another set in about another 15k. Tire rack usually sells these for around $70ea. Had the Mich pilots on the wife's e39 528 and was not impressed at all- currently running some Kuhmo's on the car- can't remember the model (711's ?), but seem better than the Mich's and much cheaper.

I'm running yoko avs BD-2's as well. So far so good, i've had them maybe 3 months of daily driving. no rear wear so far. I'm not really sure they're any quieter than any other quality tire, but they stick like glue and make cool noises when i turn corners fast (not squealy, they make a rubbery grippy noise)

I just bought the Falken 512's for my sedan. They ride very nice for an 18" and are nice and quiet. I run Falken Azenis sports on my e30 for auto-x, can't beat that for a street auto-x tire.

Also check out vulcantire.com. They have great prices on the Falkens and Discount tire price matched them on both my sets.

Just bought 2 Falken ZIEX ZE-512 for the back at tires.com (Direct). That free shipping's great. I'm researching where to have the mounted and balanced now.
