it may take some looking to find high output h1 bulbs but they are definatly out there, most places only stock "normal" wattage bulbs, i am running 100w h1 high beams on the 325
I recently purchased a set of headlamps for my E34 530. Sub $100 for both sets from a friend. Euro lens pattern. H1 bulbs. Anyone familiar with H1 bulbs and options. I've only seen 55w so far, and have not perception of light output with a euro "smiley" pattern lens.
Additional sources of 55+ w lamps would be appreciated as well.

Don't mean to hi-jack. But, where can I find some yellow h-1 bulbs? For foglights.

Be careful with H1 100W socalled Rally Bulbs. The E34 and E32 headlights in EURO design have a plastic reflector and the chrome is just on top.
I burned both reflectors and even the wire burnt
Here a pic of the bare wire
Would yellow highbeam bulbs be stupid?

I think all the euro and aussie cars take h1 bulbs. I have h1 bulbs everywhere, fog, low and high beam. I have Osram Silverstar +50 bulbs in the lows. These bulbs are rated as one of the best. So some searches on here on bulbs. They are about us$12 each i think. I got them from danielsternlighting. You want white bulbs for the brightest output. I would be scared putting 100W bulb in the euro projectors also.
